Adventcalendar 2018 – Day 1

Finally! It‘s December and I invite you to let that Christmas feeling into your heart!

Maybe you have a yarn advent calendar at home and are looking for something nice and christmasy to knit with it? Or maybe you have a few yarn leftovers from all the Christmas knits? We have just the right little object to knit those small amounts into. Of course it‘s also absolutely fine, if you go to your favorite yarnshop and buy some of that beautiful yarn you always wanted and take a little out of that to make your home a little more cosy!

Cosy Potholders!

Bring Christmas to your kitchen!

These are fairly easy to knit, you could manage knitting these in one to three days (depending on your individual knitting speed of course!). I knit one of these up on two evenings and I am not a very fast knitter (I‘m not slow either). It’s a doubleface knit potholder, therefore has two-colored edges.

Doubleface Fun

This is how it looks like, when turned around! It’s so fun to see the pattern evolve.

Down below you‘ll find the chart, for knitting your own potholders.

I used a cotton fingering weight yarn and 3 mm knitting needles (US size 3) my gauge was: 27 sts x 35 rows (10×10 cm  or 4×4‘‘).

Have fun knitting, pleas contact us, if you have any questions! Enjoy Decemberm hope you get to spend a lot of cosy time knitting! Or crochet, if you do crochet and read all the way down here. I really don‘t know, if there is any doubleface crocheting. I doubt it. But if there indeed is: please do tell!

There are a few more christmas inspirations to come during our advent calendar special on the blog! Come back tomorrow and check it out!

Love, Sarah

Almost forgot: here’s your chart 😉
